Renee Byrne is the daughter of a local politican and his mistress. She is the oldest of the Byrne sisters and knew their father for a longer time than Abigail. Renee resents her father and has had a hard time in relationships because she doesn't trust any man.
Renee grew up in San Antonio, always as the protective big sister to Abigail. Renee went to the police academy and went into police work to help children. She loves kids and always seems to connect with them where ever she goes. She's a detective working with the San Antonio police department.
