Brock Sutherland is a man of honor and courage. He devotes himself completely to those he loves.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Brock Sutherland grew up in a lower middle class family. Son of a waitress and an electrician, Brock grew up in a happy family with a brother and a sister. He wanted to do better than his parents had. He wanted to move up in society, to make more money and to rub elbows with the rich and famous of San Antonio. As soon as he was out of high school, he began work as a carpenter with some friends of his father. He met a young woman, Kaitlyn Montgomery, and she became pregnant with his child. Kaitlyn was in a car accident that sent her to the hospital when she was nine months pregnant. The baby, a son named Douglas, was born healthy, but Kaitlyn did not survive. Brock was left to raise his young son alone.
One night in a night club in downtown San Antonio, Brock saw a group of men harassing a young woman. He stepped in and helped her. He introduced himself to Brenna Davenport and escorted her home that evening. Brenna was instantly taken with the young carpenter and the two soon fell in love. Brock asked Brenna to marry him and they wed the next spring. Married life went peaceful for the two newlyweds and they couldn't have been happier when they were blessed with twin girls, Bethany and Pamela.
Soon, the life of a carpenter's wife was not satisfying for the well bred Brenna and she wanted more. She divorced Brock and gained custody of Pamela while giving custody of Bethany to Brock.
Brock was heartbroken for a long time, raising his children on his own. He had been very much in love with Brenna and was disappointed that he couldn't be what she needed. He went into a local restaurant one night and heard an angel singing. Her name was Juliana Saterfield, a beautiful singer from Houston. Brock was smitten and he introduced himself to Juliana. The two hit it off and were wed. They have a daughter, Kali. They are still married and Brock loves Juliana with all his heart.
Brock became a very successful and high profiled carpenter, eventually moving into contracting. After a fair amount of success, he began to deal in real estate, restoring old homes and reselling them. He also works to provide affordable homes to underprivileged families.
