Jared MacKay is a man of ambition and calculation. He never makes a move without first knowing all of the possible consequences.
Jared was born and raised in San Antonio. The son of very wealthy parents, Jared grew up without a want in the world. He went to the best schools and eventually to an Ivy league university. He came back to San Antonio with one goal in mind, to be the Ted Turner of San Antonio, a media baron of unmatched proportions.
Jared met Brenna Sutherland and knew that he had met his match. She was ambitious, cautious and ruthless when she needed to be. Jared fell in love with Brenna and cared for her daugher, Pamela, as if she were his own. Brenna's other daughter, Bethany, hates him almost as much as she hates her mother. Jared's other daughters, Meredith and Tara, are his pride and joy. He would do anything for his daughters and has on numerous occasions, even breaking the law when he felt the need.
Jared and Brock have had several confrontations over Pamela and Bethany. Brock doesn't like Jared and has never pretended too. Jared likes to irritate Brock and to gloat that Brenna loves him more than she ever loved Brock. Jared is always looking for a way to hurt Brock and thinks he has finally found a way of doing so permanently.
